Executive Administrator to President/CEO
Essential Job Requirements: Support President & CEO in fulfillment of responsibilities related to external and internal functions including community and staff relations, media communications, special projects and development.1. Create and maintain accurate timelines to help manage projects and objectives related to the president's external and internal affairs & duties. 2. Assist in the implementation of a variety of projects and special events, and possibly serve as team leader for certain events. 3. Draft correspondence and other written materials as assigned, capturing the President's "voice." 4. Manage the execution of BCF's social media presence and be part of a team to develop strategies for online giving to increase donors, contributions and visibility; proactively monitor web site for dated content and provide suggestions for enhancement in keeping with the firm's messaging and strategy. 5. Interface with graphic designers, communication consultants and other vendors to ensure accurate, high-quality communication products. 6. Attend meetings with the President & CEO when requested, take notes and provide timely follow-up. 7. Represent President & CEO when requested. 8. Work with CEO, senior management and PR consultant to develop an internal and external communications strategy to support BCF's brand and strategic priorities, including the development of materials for internal and external use to support the strategy. 9. Work with the development team to create and update content for BCF's web site; proactively monitor web site for dated content and provide suggestions for enhancement in keeping with BCF's messaging and strategy. 10. Perform general grant writing and proofreading functions, as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: - A Bachelor's Degree preferably in marketing, communications or other related field. - A minimum of 3 years of communications experience preferably in non-profit sector. - Strong written skills, and an ability to convey the agency's position in a compelling manner. - Experience in the use of social media in a professional setting. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. - Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. - Excellent organizational and project management skills required. - Professional maturity; calm and level-headed. - Flexible, adaptable and tenacious at achieving goals.
